Phindu joined SSLLP in March 2011. He holds a Diploma in Agriculture and Natural Resources Management from Natural Resources College and a degree in Agricultural Extension and Rural Development from Bunda College of Agriculture. Phindu is currently SSLLP's Program Manager (Livestock Development) and is the responsible officer for the Kulera Biodiversity Project.

Before joining SSLLP, Phindu worked as an agricultural extension officer for Universal Farming and Milling, a village savings and loans field officer for ELDS and as a field supervisor for the Great Lakes Cotton Company.

Phindu's career objective is to make a contribution towards addressing food security issues affecting the underpriveleged in the country through sound research, planning and execution of rural development programs.
